Homeless - 14

Hi'ya,

Still doing the 3 R's - reading, writing and working out. The tan is coming along nicely; the old half-Cherokee lineage is making itself apparent. The 'working out' thingy is making itself visible also. If my physicality proceeds along it's current course, I may have to buy some new summer gear in a smaller size. I already could use a new swimsuit. Jeez...another unexpected expense. I shouldn't complain since there has been a significant reduction in my blood pressure.

One of the places that I camp out in at night is located in a strip mall that has several businesses near an 24 hour 7-11 store. It seems that a couple of the owners called the person who manages the property to find out about me; they thought that I was a all-night security guard. The property manager dropped by one evening and we talked for a bit. I gave him a brief concerning my circumstances and, at this time, he has no problem with my presence there at those hours. He even offered to 'see what he could do' about my employment situation. He said he'd let me know so I'll guess we'll see...

There is a lady that works in one of the businesses in that has given me some food a few times. She and her husband own a moving company and judging by the vehicles they drive, are doing quite well. She has given me cookies, soda, chips, microwavable popcorn, etc. Needless to say, her contributions have helped my situation significantly. Her thoughtfulness and kindness to me, a stranger, helps me maintain my faith in some of the contents of the human heart.
