Hi,
Today was a good day. Nope, nothing on the job front yet but still had a good time at one of the pools that I visit. I met a couple of people that shared their beer, tobacco, food and conversation for the afternoon. It was a pleasant change of pace talking with people.
A couple of days ago, at one of the places that I park for the night - it's in a small strip mall - a guy approached me while I was reading a book in my truck and we talked for a few minutes. It turns out that he works in a salon and they were wondering about me since they see me at that location several times a week. I told him what was going on with me, just the bare details. Before he left, he gave me $5. At first, I was going to turn it down but then I thanked him for his kindness.
That $5 is worth three days of food to me. Of even more worth is that there are some people in the world that take a moment to look at things from another perspective and act.
